Pep Guardiola has made remarkable achievement with Bayern Munich since his arrival to Germany, having won three consecutive Bundesliga title with the German aside, and has guided the team to three consecutive semifinals at the UEFA Champions League.
Though he inherited a Bayern Munich that was the defending champion of the Champions League in 2013, but he has since failed to lead the team to at least a final in the UEFA Champions League. All efforts seem to end at the semifinal stage.
Unfortunately, the Spanish have been hindered on all three occasions in the semifinal by the top three Spanish teams; Real Madrid, Barcelona and now Atletico. In 2014 it was Real Madrid that sent Bayern packing, in 2015 his former club Barcelona repeated same, and in 2016 now, he is being faced with making Bayern scale through after a 1-0 defeat in Atletico.
The Spanish who has signed a new contract with Manchester City, hope’s to achieve Champions League success with Bayern before eventually leaving in the summer, but the odds against him are Spanish. Pep has one more match in Germany, to at least turn things around against Atletico.
He must necessarily outwit Diego Simeone’s side next week, to avoid a clean sweep of defeats by the La Liga’s big three at the semifinal stage of Champions League.
