Tottenham Hotspur emerged victorious yesterday at home, as they beat Manchester United 3-0 to maintain their second position and look ahead of their remaining five matches.
All three goals were scored in the second half, and within a space of six minutes. Alli opened scoring in the 7o’ minutes, Alderweireld scored in 74′ minutes, while Lamela sealed the third goal in the 76′ minutes.
The win also impedes Louis Van Gaal’s men chances of making top four, and questions the tactics employed by Louis Van Gaal in the match. For three goals to be conceded in six minutes, that seemed a bit horrible.
In fact, the 3-0 defeat also gave the Foxes an opportunity to get their own pound of flesh, from United who also defeated them 3-0 last season in March, 2015.
