Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink, has revealed that Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri phoned him to say ‘thank you’ straight, after the 2-2 draw with Tottenham that saw the Foxes crowned Premier League champions.
Leicester City who needed a win against Manchester United to be crowned champions of the premier league got a draw, and this delayed their being crowned champions of England.
However, Chelsea who trailed Tottenham in the first half by 2-0, did a whole lot of favour to Leicester City by coming back in the second half and and ending the decisive match in a 2-2 draw.
The draw made Leicester City champions and Leicester City manager Ranieri appreciates the efforts of the blues in making them champions before last day of match.
It will be recalled that Sports Intelligence had earlier predicted before the match between Chelsea and Tottenham that Chelsea will play a vital role in handing over the title to Leicester City.
Chelsea and Leicester City are to play on the final match day of season.
