Cristiano Ronaldo is set to create a new record tonight, as his side take on Atletico Madrid in the final of the 2016 uefa champions league which takes place at San Siro in Milan Italy.
Ronaldo will become the first and only player to score in three final of the champions league if he scores tonight as no one has that record. Ronaldo and Messi are one of the players who shared the record of scoring in two finals of the uefa champions league, with the Argentine scoring in the finals of the 2009 and 2011 respectively.
The Argentine and Barcelona forward (Lionel Messii) had an opportunity to extend the lead last season when Barcelona defeated Juventus 3-1 in the final to win her 5th title, but it was Rakitic, Suarez and Neymar’s goals that gave the Catalan victory against the Italian giant.
Ronaldo who also leads in all-time uefa champions league goals with 93 goals, is trailed by Lione Messi with 83, and the Portuguese will also have an opportunity to increase the gap between him and the Argentine if he scores tonight.
