Enyeama Extends Contract In France To 2019

Former Super Eagles captain and veteran goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has extended his stay in Lille to 2019 after he signed a two-year contract that will keep him there.

Although the former Enyimba of Aba goalkeeper had one more year on his contract, but he signed another two years that will keep other clubs from seeking his services at the end of 2017.

Lille’s deputy director general, Jean-Michel Vandamme, who spoke on the contract extension described him as “an exceptional lad both on and off pitch. Continuing to work with a player of his caliber and a man of his quality is a fantastic thing for the club. He still has a lot of great days ahead of him and he showed once again in the season just past the full extent of his qualities,” Vandamme told the club’s website.

The French outfit signed the former Super Eagles captain in 2011 but loaned him out to Israeli outfit Hapoel Tel Aviv after he struggled to get a regular shirt but has since made an amazing 111 appearances for the club.
