The trio of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico who are arguably among the current champions league teams to reckon with in Europe have completed a feat of stopping the former world best coach from going through the final.

It will be recalled that Pep once said that Simeone’s biggest trophy with Atletico was “making Atletcio equal with Real Madrid and Barcelona”.

His contract with Bayern ends this in June, and the Catalan is expected to resume with Manchester City in on July 1st, where he will face a new challenge with an English side in Europe.
