Real Madrid go head-to-head tonight with Atletico Madrid in the final of the uefa champions league at San Siro stadium, as both teams clash for the second time in the uefa champions league final.

Madrid have won 1o European titles, of which two were against Spanish sides, but Madrid will be hoping to win the eleventh at the expense of an Atletico side that is yet to win one tonight.

Madrid have been jinxed with winning the champions league final against any Spanish side, a feat which they have accomplished on two occasions, after defeating Valencia and Atletico in 2000 and 2014 respectively, to win their 8th and 10th champions league title.

Only Spain have had three one-nation final in the history of the uefa champions league, every other nation (England, Germany, Italy) have had one, with Real Madrid being in all the three finals, winning two and having a date tonight with Atletico Madrid on the third occasion and for the second time in against Atletico in three years.

Atletico Madrid nearly won the title in 2014 after taking a 1-0 lead against Los Blancos, but a late equalizer from Sergio Ramos made the scoreline end 1-1 draw at full time. Taking the game into extra time after which Madrid won the La Decima by 4-1 at the expense of their derby rivals.

Zidane will be hoping to be hoping to become the seventh manager in the history of the champions league to win the title as both player and coach.
