Argentina beat Bolivia 3-0 to finish top of Group D with nine points, in the on going Copa America Centenario in the United States, just as Chile also beat Panama 4-2 to finish second in same group with both teams set to move on in the quarter-final of the tournament.
The coast seems to be clear for Argentina now, following the exit of Brazil, Uruguay from the tournament. Lionel Messi’ side have aimed at breaking the 23-year major-trophy jinx, and this seems to be an opportunity for them. Argentina will face Venezuela in quarterfinal, while Chile will clash with Mexico
Argentine coach Gerardo Martino speaks on the quarterfinal match, “Venezuela are a very good side. Now we’ve got the added pressure of games in which it’s a case of win or you’re out. The fact that Brazil and Uruguay have gone home doesn’t change anything for us”.
