Argentina is currently faced with a heavy blow, as Angel Di Maria is more likely to miss the final match of the Copa America Centenario against Chile on Sunday.
The Paris Saint-German attacker who sustained injury in Argentina’s 5-0 defeat of Panama was taken out. He consequently missed the other group and the knockout stage matches en route the final, with hope of getting better before the final match against Chile on Sunday, but it seems he will not be available.
The former Real Madrid forward was available for training on Thursday, but suffered pains as a result of the initial injury sustained in the match against Panama.
Unfortunately, the match against Chile is one match the former Madrid forward is willing to play, to enable him make-up for what Argentina suffered in Copa America 2015 in the hands of Chile.
This is really bad news for an Argentina that will also be playing without Ezequiel Lavezzi who suffered a radial fracture of his left elbow, which will require surgery.
