The former super eagles coach who is from Illah in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta state, may have reasons why he had his wife buried in Benin City after she died last year, but there are also speculations that the Big Boss may also be buried beside his wife in Benin

Both the Delta and Edo state government have indicated serious interest in the burial of the former super eagles coach, but serious plans are on ground to see what the burial will look like as series of meetings are being held with the NFF, to see what the constitution of the NFF states on such burial.

Sylvester who spoke on behalf of the family, said that, “For now, the family has not received any contribution from anybody or organisation for the burial. People are just indicating their interest to be part of the burial. We are still consulting.”

He said that though, the late former super eagles coach buried his late wife last December in Benin, he confided in his family that he should be buried in his ancestral family home in Ukpologwu Quarters in Illah community, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta.

“Before his death, Stephen had told his children and close family members that he should be buried in Illah when he dies. He is a son of the soil, so his wish stands,” Sylvester said.

Adequate plans have been put on ground to start the renovation of his family house in his hometown.
