History will be made at the Rio 2016 Olympic games, when Leila, Liina and Lily Luik from Estonia will start line for the women’s marathon during the games.
It is common though rare to have twins competing in the same event at the Olympic games. But the Luiks are set to become the first identical triplets to compete against each other.
The 30-year-old blond, blue-eyed triplet from the southern Estonian university town of Tartu, only took up serious distance running when they were 24.
According to Lily, “We have been active since childhood, we love dancing, we love to be active and this pushed us to professional sports”.
The commentators will have a lot of job to do during the women marathon race, and this will start from being able to identify who is who when the race commences, as the trio are a perfect look-alike.
