Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola are going to clash in pre-season tour, as both managers who are currently in charge of Manchester United and Manchester City respectively go head-to- head in China as part of the programmes of their clubs, in preparations for the 2016-2017 seasons.

Manchester United will be playing Manchester City on Monday July 25th 2016, in Beijing,  in the International Champions Cup in China along with German giants Borussia Dortmund. After two successive years of touring the United States, Manchester United have decided to return to the Far East for the first time since 2013 when they went under former boss David Moyes

It will be the first time the two Manchester clubs have met outside of the UK, with both teams having agreed to take part in match.

The managers of both Manchester clubs have met 16 times in the past, and they last played against each other in August 2013, when they clashed in the UEFA Super Cup at the Eden Arena Stadium in Czech Republic. While Mourinho was in charge of Chelsea, Guardiola was in charge of Bayern.

Though the outcome of the match will not add points to the two clubs during the season proper, posterity will revisit this meeting as both managers have had a very strong and bitter rivalry.
