Barcelona and Brazilian forward Neymar Da Silva will be hoping to put a smile on the faces of Brazilians on home soil after Brazil were humiliated as host on home soil during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The Brazilian forward is among the stars to take part in the tournament and it becomes very important to Brazil as nation because they have never won the Olympic gold for men in football.

Brazilian fans hope to celebrate again on home soil

The last time Brazil won a football tournament on home soil was in 2013, when they hosted and won the FIFA Confederations cup. However, the poor performance of the Samba boys on home soil during the 2014 Fifa world cup which quickly wiped away the joys which the Confederations cup brought to them earlier.

The Fifa Olympic football tournament for men, is the third most recognized Fifa football tournament for men after the Fifa World Cup and the Fifa Confederations Cup. Though no trophy is attached to it, the gold is significant and Brazilians have kept vigil to ensure they win the title.

Having won the Fifa World Cup and the Fifa Confederations cup only, Brazilians will be hoping to complete the feat the Olympic gold in men football and become the second nation in history to win the trio of Fifa World Cup, Fifa Confederations Cup and the Olympic gold in men football.

It is worthy to mention that France is the only country that have won the three titles, Olympic gold in 1984, Fifa World Cup in 1998 and Confederations Cup in 2003.
