The U-23 national team coach Samson Siasia was robbed at the team’s camp in Atlanta USA, where they are preparing for the Rio 2016 Olympics which will hold in Rio de Janeiro.
Although, the former Super Eagles handler tried to keep the incident secret in order not to let the ugly incident distract the team, but it however leaked to the media.
The incident which happened over the weekend took place at the team’s hotel park, when he went to see the players after the evening session and also freshen up in his hotel room. When he got close to the car he was using, he discovered that the glass of the car was broken and the burglars made away with his credit card, two android phones, the phone of his personal assistant Abu and some money.
Siasia confirmed that he has made official report to the local police and has been able to block access to the stolen credit cards, but he would not like the incident to distract the team’s preparation for the 2016 Olympics.
