Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is set to face his first premier league home match today, when his side host Southampton, with his former old enemy friend Ronald Koeman, leading Southampton to Old Trafford with the hope of at least getting a draw.
Southampton have not lost any match in their last three premier league matches at Old Trafford, a record which the Dutch manager will aim to keep when he leads his side to Old Trafford today. The worst result Southampton have gotten lately at Old Trafford is a draw.
Jose Mourinho will however be under pressure to break the jinx, and prove to his employers that he is indeed the ‘Special One’.
Manchester United have been going through a rebuilding process, under the tutelage of Mourinho, with the club recently breaking a world transfer record of signing Paul Pogba from Juventus on a deal of £89.3million.
Today’s match will determine if Jose Mourinho’s arrival to Old Trafford will be the beginning of a new Manchester United.
