Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is faced with serious allegation from a member of world players union FifPro, for “bullying” German footballer Bastian Schweinsteiger the BBC reports.

The 32-year-old midfielder signed a three-year-contract in 2015 with Manchester United, and has since then played 31 games last term but has been relegated to training alone and with the Under 23 team since the arrival of Jose Mourinho to Old Trafford.

Slovenia ex-international and FifPro member Dejan Stefanovic described this as “bulling”. “Its clear bulling, he told BBC. “In Slovenia, we would have indicted Mourinho and asked for the highest penalty, which is three years in prison he added.

The Portuguese is yet to comment about the future of Schweinsteiger, but he is expected to hold a press conference on today to preview Sunday’s Community Shield against Premier League champions Leicester City.

The management of Manchester United are yet to make a comment on the allegation, but the incident has continued to generate furor.

Commenting on the matter, President of the Slovenian Footballers and Sportsmen Union, lawyer Stefanovic informed that “This is clearly meant to discourage Bastian. “Mourinho is setting a bad example. I would take it to the ordinary court. In our case, the penal code is quite clear. If there is bullying and harassment, there’s a prison sanction, a maximum of three years in prison, he added.

“Schweinsteiger should turn to the Professional Footballers’ Association and he should file a complaint and I would also seek penalty for Mourinho.

Schweinsteiger, was left out of Mourinho’s 25-man squad that took part in last weekend’s 5-2 friendly win over Galatasaray in Gothenburg and was not part of the 22 for Wayne Rooney’s testimonial with Everton on Wednesday.

It is expected that all the players of the first team to train with the coaches of the first team at the same place, and at the same time as all other team-mates.

Bayern Munich president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, another former Germany captain, told German publication Bild: “One or two players are going to think long and hard in future about whether they want to go to such a club.”
