New Sunderland manager David Moyes, has recalled the ugly situation that led to his sack while being in charge of Manchester United some years ago.
The former Real Sociedad manager disclosed this while addressing the media as Sunderland manager, as he opened up on his times at Manchester United on how his six-year contract was prematurely terminated within ten months of stay at Old Trafford.
The Scottish manager quoted “I’ve said all along that I was (unfairly treated). When you sign a six-year contract and you end up there ten months, yeah, I believe I was,” said the Scot.
Despite his heavy criticism on his sack from Old Trafford, he however noted that “But that is life in football. Ultimately the key is to win football matches. I didn’t win enough football matches.
