Nigeria’s name is still conspicuously missing among the list of nations who have won medal at the Rio Olympics medals table, according to the list of Rio Olympic medal table winners published by the BBC as at Tuesday August 16, 2016.

It will be recalled that Chierika Ukogu finished second in the semifinal of the Final D of women’s Single Sculls Rowing event on Saturday in lane 4, within a time frame of  7:44:76, giving Nigeria an opportunity for her name to be on the list.

As at press time Sports Intelligence is yet to understand the circumstances leading to this omission particularly from the BBC list despite their right on the world information order, and why the BBC which is the mother-nation of Nigeria chose to be silent on such feat even if others decide not to comment on it.
