Barcelona failed to close-up with the gap with league leaders Real Madrid at Camp Nou yesterday, following a 1-1 draw courtesy of Atletico Madrid.
Barcelona took the lead in the first half through Ivan Rakitic goal in the 41′ minutes, giving the Catalans an edge before the half-time break.
But it only took Diego Simeone’s men the 61’s minutes, when Correa leveled up for the visiting side denying the defending champions a crucial maximum three points.
Barcelona are now third on the table with ten points, while Madrid remain on top with thirteen points and are trailed by Sevilla who have eleven points.
