Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacaho has scored again for his club, as Manchester City wins her opener against visiting Monchegladbach in the group C match of the uefa champions league that took place at the Etihad stadium yesterday night.
The 19-year-old who scored City’s winning goal against Manchester United in the Manchester derby on Saturday, seemed to have won favour in the heart of City’s new manager Pep Guardiola.
Though Manchester City had already won the match before Iheanacho’s late strike, which made the scoreline end at 4-0, but it was a memorable and historical one for the club, as that was City’s highest margin win in the Champions league.
It will be recalled that Iheanacho missed out on the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic squad, due to the fact that new manager Pep Guardiola wanted to see him play with club during the pre-season tour.
