US golfer Arnold Palmer who is perceived to be one of the world’s greatest and influential golfer has passed on at the age of 87.
Palmer who dominated the game of golf in the early 60’s, died at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he was undergoing heart test according to the BBC.
During his hey days, the American golfer won more than 90 tournaments both local and internationally, which include seven major tournaments.
Palmer who is described by the US Golf Association as “golf’s greatest ambassador” attracted lots of ardent fans of golf, and also helped to promote the game particularly in the television age.
