Each player registered for the Nigeria Professional Football League may get free land gifts from the Enugu state government, after winning the NPFL which ended on Sunday according to source.
The Premier league won by the boys on Sunday after defeating El Kanemi Warriors was significant, it was the clubs first premier league title in the last 32 years and will be bringing in a whooping sum of N40m to the club.
Hence, a proposal has been sent to the Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to reward the players with lands in Enugu state.
Speaking in an interview, the commissioner for Sports of Enugu State Charles Ndukwe said land rewards are much better than cash and cars.
Ndukwe also stated that “Even if the person decides to sell it tomorrow, he gets a lot of money but you know we need to teach them financial discipline,” Ndukwe, told Complete Sports.
