Jose Mourinho’s third return to Stamford Bridge was met with a show of shameful defeat, as the former Chelsea boss got a disgraceful 4-0 mauling from his former club in his football career as a coach.

It was the Portuguese manager’s second worse defeat as a coach, his first being against Barcelona while in charge of Real Madrid in Spain, when he suffered a 5-0 defeat at Camp Nou.

Mourinho who was sacked seven months after winning the premier league with Chelsea in 2015 was determined to prove a point with the match, but it was his former players who proved to him that he was actually the problem of Chelsea before his sack.

Pedro put Chelsea in the lead barely 30 seconds into play, before Cahill struck again in the 21st minutes to put Chelsea in 2-0 lead before half time.

The break seemed to have given the blues players more strength over their former manager as Hazard struck again in the 62nd minutes to put the host on a 3-0 lead. In the 70th minutes, Kante broke his goal drought as he dribbled into the Manchester United 18-yard-box to seal the win for the host.

The result takes Chelsea to the fourth position on the premier league table with 19 points, while Manchester United remain on the seventh position with 14 points.
