It was another bad day for the United States of America, losing a second match in the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier as their host Costa Rica thrash them 4-0 to remain on top of the table with 6 points from two matches.
Mexico who defeated USA in her first match in the campaign played a goalless draw with Panama to remain second on the table with four points, while Honduras beat Trinidad and Tobago 3-1 to get their first win and take the third position on the table.
Costa Rica will have to prove a point when they meet with Mexico as that would really be a hard knot to crack for the CONCACAF leaders who have scored six goals in two matches without conceding any yet.
If the above performances is anything to go by, then it is easy to conclude that the trio of Costa Rica, Honduras and Mexico may get the three automatic slots available for CONCACAF teams in the 3.5 slots available for the teams for Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup.
