Liverpool Thrash Watford To Go Top Of Premier League Table

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has played down on talks suggesting that his side will win the premier league title despite being on top after thrashing Watford by 6-1.

The last time Liverpool went to the top of the premier league table was May 2014, and its barely two and half years since after the finished second behind Manchester City on the premier league table.

The win makes Chelsea to come second after 5-0 win over Southampton, while Manchester City and Arsenal drop to third and fourth position respectively due to the 1-1 all draw played by both teams during the weekend in their own games.

Klopp told  bbc sports that “We’ve started collecting points but we need to go on with this, then we will see where we can end”, Klopp said.

Klopp was also quick to comment on the circumstances that led to Liverpool not winning the premier league title in the 2013-2014 season, when Chelsea beat them at Anfield to deny them the title despite their being on top
