Barcelona forward Lionel Messi will be hoping to lead his side to victory, as they host Colombia in the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier.
Argentina are currently 6th in the South America qualifiers table, and they have been practically struggling in their matches. In their last match, Brazil mauled them 3-0 making the situation tough for Messi and his men.
Argentina will be hoping to get a win against Colombia irrespective of the fact that their last meeting was in favour of Colombia, who got her second win against Argentina in their last five meetings.
Messi who once announced his retirement from international football and rescinded on his decision, understands that a win is crucial in this match if Argentina will keep their hope of qualifying for the World Cup alive, and will do everything possible to guide his side to a win.
The last time Argentina beat Colombia was in November 2006 during a World Cup qualifier.
