Cristiano Ronaldo was on top of his game yesterday, as he scores a hat-trick to move Madrid four points clear off Barcelona who failed to get a win yesterday at Camp Nou against Malaga.
Ronaldo and his team mates were in control of the game in Atletico as they mauled their city rivals 3-0 in a match that saw the Portuguese score his 39th hat-trick for club.
Ronaldo opened scoring for Madrid through a direct free-kick that was deflected in the 23rd minutes, before scoring a second from the penalty spot in the 71st minutes, before sealing up victory through Gareth Bale’s cross in the 77th minutes.
The hat-trick makes the 31-year-old go one goal of clear of legendary Real forward Alfredo Di Stefano’s individual total of 17 goals in the Madrid derby.
Madrid will be looking up to increase their margin on December 3rd when they will clash with Barcelona in El Classico.
