The ongoing Olumide Oyedeji Basket ball competition ended at the University of Lagos Akoka yesterday, with the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria beating the College of Education Minna 88-79 to win the prestigious cup.
ABU’s defeat inflicted bitter pains on College of Education Minna, who reached the final for a second consecutive time in the tournament and losing on all occasions.
College of Education Minna appeared determined and tough in the match, even after eliminating the host University of Lagos in the semifinal stage to reach the final, but Ahmadu Bello University were more tactical and skillful in the match, giving them an edge over their opponent.

On the other hand, University of Lagos beat Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife earlier before the final clash by 77-53 to win Bronze in the third place clash.
