Pep Guardiola’s side started the FA Cup in grand-style, after his side thrashed their host West Ham by 5-0 in the third round of the FA Cup.

It was arguably West Ham’s FA Cup worst home defeat as West Ham could not cope with the power and pace of a Manchester City side that was trying to prove critics wrong there by putting Slaven Bilic’s job as manager of West Ham under intense pressure.

Sergio Aguero convert to score City’s fourth goal and also become Manchester City third-highest goal scorer of all time, while John Stone’s header which was quickly kicked out was captured by the goal-line decision system, giving City their fifth goal in the match.

The win is Manchester City’s highest win under Pep Guardiola since his arrival in summer and it is also the first time City would take a 3-0 lead in the first-half under the Spaniard.
