Barcelona’s forward Neymar and Suarez will be having an opportunity to clash against each other on Friday as Brazil host Uruguay in Recife ahead of the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The duo have joined Argentine wizard Lionel Messi and played significant role in Barcelona’s success story since their arrival, but will be faced with a situation when they become enemies because of their various countries.

Brazil are currently on top of the South America World Cup qualifiers table with 27 points and are trailed by Uruguay who have 23 points ahead of their meeting. A win for Brazil today will confirm their Russia 2018 World Cup ticket, while a draw will still not make much difference.

However, Suarez who last played for his country two years ago during the World Cup will be hoping to help his side get a win against his club mate’s country, to enable Uruguay reduce the lead between them and group leaders.

Ecuador and Chile who are both tied on 23 points trail Uruguay, and a failure for Uruguay to get either of win or draw on Friday’s clash with Brazil may mean any of the two tieing on points with them if they emerge victorious.

Neymar who have helped his country win the Confederations Cup as well as the Olympic football tournament for men also wants to help his nation get a FIFA World Cup. This he may want to achieve at the expense of his club mate Luis Suarez.
