Harry Kane scored a brace in Tottenham win as second-placed Tottenham defeated Everton to close the gap on leaders Chelsea to seven points.
The 23-year-old English international is now the leading scorer in the Premier League with 19 goals, and has found the net 14 times in 12 league and cup games in 2017.
Kane gave Tottenham the lead in the 20th minute when he unleashed a powerful shot from outside the 18-yard box that beat Joel Robles at his side post.
Though it was first perceived as a competition between the strikers, but Romelu Lukaku had struggled to see the back of the net until the 81st minutes before he broke the goal drought for his side and netted to record half of Kane’s goal in the match.
Valencia however scored the visitors second goal in injury time to end the score line at 3-2 in favour of the host, who maintain second position on the table and are seven points adrift Chelsea.
Chelsea will take on West ham today, and a win for the blues will lead to increasing the gap by ten points.
