Atletico vs Leicester City
This is really going to be a tough one for England’s defending champion. More so as they happen to be the only English team left in the race. Both teams have met previously in the Cup winners cup and it went in favour of the Spanish side. Leicester City may have achieved a lot by making and reaching the quarterfinals in their debut. But Atletico who have reached two finals in three years will have to prove a point when both sides meet, they have never lost at home to any English side. Atletico have 65% chances of progressing to the semifinal.
Dortmund vs Monaco
This clash would be very interesting as both teams have never met in the champions league before. Monaco have a high rate of scoring goals, they proved it by edging out Manchester City after scoring a total of six goals in the home and away clash. Dortmund who last got to the finals of the champions league in 2013 will attempt to showcase their potentials having finished top of a group where you have the defending champions (Real Madrid). Dortmund have never won the champions league but they will certainly not let a French side distract them from achieving their aim.
Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid
This is arguably the biggest clash of the quarterfinals stage of the champions league 11 times winners meeting with 5 times winner. Both teams have met a total of 22 times and all were in the European competition. Madrid won nine times while Bayern 11 times their last two meetings in the semifinals went in favour of Madrid but that was when the current Bayern manager was in charge of Madrid. This would probably be an opportunity for the Italian manager Carlos Ancelotti, to get his pound of flesh from the club whom he once gave their tenth European title. Its going to be tough but it is a 50-50 chance.
Juventus vs Barcelona
At last here comes the opportunity the Italian manager would probably say. Allegri who lost to Barcelona in the finals of the 2015 champions league will be faced with a situation he prayed for two years ago. He wished the final was a two-legged encounter, but Barca got the one-leg final defeating the Italian side 3-1. Barcelona who had a magical qualification would surely have themselves to blame if they think such magic would work against the Italian champions. Both teams have met met seven times with Barcelona winning three, Juventus two times while two draws stand in between. Its really going to be a tough one, but Barcelona have 55% chances of going through to the semifinals.
