What would be going through the minds of Arsenal fans is their weekend premier league match against visiting Manchester City who defeated them 2-1 when they met at Etihad stadium in December last year.

Both managers know how important the match is as a win is necessary to both teams.

Arsenal have won their last two matches against City at Emirate stadium and this would put City under pressure to aim winning and pursue the maximum three points needed to enable them hold grip of the top four position.

City are currently third on the premier league table with 57 points and are closely trailed by Liverpool who are one point behind them, a win for City will keep Pep Guardiola’s men on course, while a loss could create further problems.

Wenger’s men who are currently seated on the sixth position in the premier league table need a win to convince their fans that they are ready to be at the top four, with two outstanding matches left for Arsenal, beating City would be a boost.

Wenger has been heavily criticized lately, and fans have called for his removal as manager at Emirate stadium. Management have however said they will wait till end of season before the Frenchman would know his fate.
