Manchester United have thrown the title race open after thrashing league leaders Chelsea 2-0 at Old Trafford stadium, the win moves United to fifth on the premier league table, while Chelsea remain on top but are four points adrift Tottenham who seem to be the closest threat Chelsea have.

The win is one good favour  United have done to Tottenham Hotspur, who are more likely to interrupt Chelsea in their pursuit of a fifth premier league title.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho, assigned Ander Herera to Chelsea play maker Eden Hazard in the game, leading to his frustration in the game and rendering him ineffective , as the blues could barely contend with his control of the midfield.

Diego Costa tried to make himself relevant in the game but he rather made more nuisance of himself, seeking to get calls that never existed.

Antonio Conte lacked tactical ability to face the match, as he was forced to remove the cap he wore as though the cap had brought him some ill-luck.

The Italian manager completed his three changes, but it only took Jose Mourinho the 80th minutes, before he made his first change.

Mourinho surely got his pound of flesh back in the game, after Chelsea had defeated his side on two occasion, but the game did not look like a match that a Chelsea that thrashed United 4-0 at Stamford Bridge played.

United players were tactically disciplined, playing to instructions and ensuring that the antics employed by Chelsea players to make them get caution cards did not work out.

At the end of the game, it was United who have the three points putting Chelsea in a more confused stage.
