Manchester United will be hosting league leaders Chelsea at Old Trafford stadium on Sunday in a match that a lot of things would be at stake.

Jose Mourinho knows that pride would be at stake in the high profile match after his side lost to Conte’s men in the first-leg at Stamford Bridge by 4-0, losing again at Old Trafford would mean so much to the Portuguese who currently feels that the Italian manager is using the team he built to torment the premier league.

Mourinho and Conte clashed at the touchline during their last meeting in the FA Cup.

Conte has defeated Mourinho twice this season, winning him in their third consecutive meeting would be a heavy blow to the Portuguese manager who will be delighted to get his pound of flesh from his former club.

Moreover, points would also be at stake in this match, three points to Manchester United would move them closer to their dream of reaching the top four, even though they have an alternative chance of qualifying for the champions league if they emerge champions in the Europa Cup.

Chelsea are fully aware that Tottenham have not given hope in he title race, a drop in points from them would give Spurs the needed confidence to keep pressurizing, believing that league winners may just be decided on the last day of the premier league matches.

Mourinho knows very much that so much has been expended this season by United, but it seems the result gotten so far would not be commensurate with monies spent if United finish where they are at the end of the season. Hence finishing top four is key, irrespective of whether they win Europa or not.

The relationship between Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte seemed to have gone sour, after both managers clashed at the touchline in Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat of United in the league cup, no one can tell for now what would happen tomorrow when both managers meet again.

No doubt Manchester United will have an upper hand to win in tomorrow’s match as United will go for nothing less than the maximum three points, while league leaders understand that a draw at Old Trafford is a good result.
