Monaco’s dream of progressing to the final of the champions league have been cut short by a determined Juventus who beat the French side 2-0 before their home crowd, heading to the second-leg with an away two goals advantage.

The win leaves Juve with the next 90 minutes to reach the final of the champions for the second time in three seasons.

Juventus seemed more determined to be in the final of this championship, they started by shutting out Messi, Neymar and Suarez in the 180 minutes of play at the quarter-final stage, they have now extended that to Kylian Mbappe and Falcao of Monaco, a side that is considered to be a high-scoring team in this championship.

Unfortunately this happened before their home crowd, as it would be difficult for fans of Monaco to believe that their side could play for 90 minutes at home without scoring a goal.

Dani Alves who left Barcelona for Juve has now been involved in six Champions League goals this season. He has created more chances than other player (270 in the competition).

Alves was quoted to say”When I got here, they told me: ‘Come and make history with this team,'” Alves explained this week. “And making history didn’t mean just win the league it meant also dreaming bigger.”
