Real Madrid thrashed Celta Vigo by 4-1 in yesterday’s Spanish laliga outstanding match, the win takes Zidane’s men to the top of the table with 90 points and with one match left to end the season while Barcelona now trail them with 87 points.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace which took him to his 367th goal surpassing Jimmy Greaves’ 46-year European scoring record of 366 goals, while Benzema scored one in the 70th minutes, and Tony Kroos sealed up victory in the 88th minutes to put Los Blancos ahead of their arch-rivals.
Madrid will need a draw in their last match when they travel to Malaga to play their final league game, anything short of that will mean giving Barcelona an opportunity to grab the title if Barca gets a win on same day.
The laliga title is arguably Madrid’s main target as they last won it in 2012 under Jose Mourinho, and only Atletico have won it once since then in 2014, while Barca won the remaining three.
But Barca who will be hoping that Madrid will lose in their last match have high hope as Madrid will be playing a Malaga side that defeated Madrid 2-0.
