The Red Devils arrived in Stockholm in mid-afternoon and continued preparations for the final with a visit to the Friends Arena stadium, the venue for Wednesday’s match with AFC Ajax according to MUTV.
Mourinho and his players took part in a walk around the ground, joined by the suspended Eric Bailly and the injured Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw and Ashley Young. United’s usual pre-match press conference did not take place as it had been called-off after the club took the decision to cancel it under the circumstances.
Mourinho had earlier expressed his sincere condolences for those affected by the tragedy in Manchester, before concentrating on the job at hand, which is the Europa League final.
The Red Devils are eyeing a first European title after winning the Champions League in 2008, but the recent terror attack has left the city in mourning and grief ahead of their final clash with Ajax.
