The young chipolopolo of Zambia survived a stunning thriller encounter to see off Germany 4-3 after extra-time to progress to their first ever FIFA U-20 World Cup quarter-final in the Korea Republic 2017 u20 World Cup.
It looked as if Zambia had won the match at 3-1 in the 89th minute but the Germans turned things around when shocking late goals from Suat Serdar and Jonas Arweiler ensured the game went into an unplanned extra time, putting the young chipolopolo under pressure in the extra time.
Shemmy Mayembe was the Zambian hero with a goal early in the second period of the added 30 minutes.
It was a cagey start to extra-time saw Daka was forced to make a good save from Brodersen before Shemmy Mayembe became the Zambian hero by putting Zambia back in in what eventually became the final lead, with Serdar fluffing a fantastic chance as Zambia grabbed their first ever ticket to the last eight.
Zambia will now play either Italy or France on Monday.
