The second semifinal match of the Fifa Russia 2017 Confederations Cup will take place today, with the World cup champions Germany facing CONCACAF champions Mexico in a match that will determine who will face Chile in the final of the tournament.

The Germans who have an array of young players will depend heavily on their dangerous right flank to do the damage when they play the North Americans. Out of the seven goals the Germans have scored in the Confederations cup, at least four goals have come from the right wing, with just one goal coming from the opposite side in their clash against Chile. This will put lots of pressure on the left-back of the Mexican side.

On the other hand, Mexico who have what it takes to control ball possession will be looking up to doing same tonight in the clash. Coach Juan Carlos Osorio who introduced the ball-control approach will look up to the technical expertise of midfielders such as Jonathan Dos Santos, Hector Herrera and Andres Guardado to do the magic, though Guardado will be suspended in this match. Hence, he would need to get a perfect replacement for him at the midfield to maintain the standard they have set.

Basically, both teams will be looking up to take advantage of the other sides weakness to advance to the final stage, but we hope goals will emerge in the 90 minutes of play, but if the match will go into extra time, then anything could just happen. But I think I see the Germans reaching the final.
