Mohammed Salah Becomes Joint Most Expensive African Player To Join Liverpool

Liverpool have completed the signing of Roma’s former Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah for a record fee of £34m according to reports from the bbc.

The 25-year-old Egyptian, has signed a five-year deal and has been a prime target of Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

Salah will wear jersey no 11, while Roberto Firminho will move to number 9.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has described the signing as “A perfect mix of experience and potential – this is a really exciting signing for us.

Klopp further added that: “I have followed him since he emerged at Basle and he has matured into a really good player.

“His pace is incredible, he gives us more attacking threat and we are already strong in this area. I like that we will make it even more competitive.”
