Yaya Toure Extends Contract In Manchester City

Manchester City and former Monaco midfielder Yaya Toure has signed a new contract with City in a one-year deal with the Premier League club that will keep him there till 2018.

The 34-year-old Ivorian has played 299 games for Manchester City since he arrived from Barcelona in 2010. He has scored 81 goals.

At the begin of this season, Toure’s agent fell out with City’s manager Pep Guardiola after he was left out of the Champions League squad and this led to Pep banning him from playing.

The ban which lasted for three months was later lifted by Pep Guardiola after Toure apologized on behalf of his agent and Pep brought him back to the squad.

Toure who spoke to the club’s website after after signing the one year contract said “I am delighted. I told myself the journey at City is not done,”
