Former Arsenal player Charlie Nicholas has stated that Alexis Sanchez may not have his dream of earning the same salary that Messi and Ronaldo earns if he still remains in Arsenal.
Nicholas who spoke with Goal.com said it would be very difficult for the Chilean to get such wage with the North London club.
It was reported earlier today by Telegraph Sport that the Chilean is asking for £400, 000 per week and this may be practically impossible for the London club going by the club’s antecedent.
Nicholas added that “Though Arsenal have recently signed Alexandre Lacazette, that will not affect Sanchez decision to move to another club. “I think Sanchez is completely and utterly his own man. We have seen that with his actions last season.
Goal.com reported that Nicholas described the Chilean as” A winner, a warrior, a fighter, a player we all truly admire and we’d love to keep him but if his heart is on trying to get the same wages as people like Messi and Ronaldo, it’s not going to materialise.
“If they have to sell him it would be harsh, painful with only one year remaining but they may have to consider this.
Sanchez who helped his nation reach the finals of the Confederations Cup in Russia where they finished runners-up behind Germany, is yet to make a definite speech about his future.
