Ex-Super Eagles Striker Salutes IMSU Alumni At Jersey Unveiling, Backs UNN Alumni To Win

Former Super Eagles striker Chukwu Ndukwe has congratulated IMSU Alumni following the unveiling of the Alumni’s football jersey which took place in Lagos today at the corporate office of VP Grasse the official jersey sponsor of IMSU Alumni.

Ndukwe who scored Nigeria’s first goal in the final match of the Ghana-Nigeria 2000 African Cup of nations where the Super Eagles won silver, also heaped praises on the management of VP Grasse for the support shown on her alumni and enjoined IMSU Alumni to make good use of the gesture.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns also cautioned IMSU Alumni not to write-off UNN Alumni as they will be playing at home in the match, and further tipped UNN Alumni to win IMSU Alumni when both sides meet at the UNEC stadium.

When asked which team he would have loved to play for if given the opportunity, Ndukwe laughed and simply replied “Thank God I will not be at Enugu for the match, but if I have the opportunity to be there and play for a team, I will play for UNN Alumni.

During his hey days, Ndukwe  earned ten caps in the senior national team scoring three goals in all.
