On her performance:
“Really good, and I’m glad to get that out of the way. I was a wee bit ring rusty and a wee bit edgy at first. I took the first round but switched off a bit in the second, but it was a good warm-up.”
On her standing count in the second round:
“That was ridiculous. There was no need for that at all, but I guess I knew I had to come back and dig deep after that, and back in the corner the coaches told me I had to dig deep, and I did it and got the win.”
On being the first woman to represent Scotland in boxing at a Commonwealth Games:
“It’s amazing, it’s a privilege, it’s a confidence boost that Boxing Scotland believe in me to send me out here to represent them on the big stage.”
