Barely four days after Tottenham were sent packing from the League cup on Friday by Chelsea and dashed their hope of reaching a final, Crystal Palace have inflicted another injury on them.

The 2-0 defeat which Pochettino’s men suffered in the hands of Crystal Palace has reduced the chances of Spurs winning a silverware and also limiting them to the Champions League and Premiership only.

Unfortunately it has also put Spurs in a very tough situation to realize their dreams of winning a trophy as Spurs presently who are nine points adrift league leaders Liverpool battle to keep their top four dream alive.

At the Champions League, Spurs will face another battle with Borussia Dortmund to keep their hopes alive and will need serious determination to progress to the quarterfinal stage of the tournament.

The exit from the FA Cup on Sunday was indeed a painful moment for Spurs who were without two of their key-players Harry Kane and Dele Alli due to injury and also Son Heung-min absent after international duty with South Korea.

The players may seem a bit demoralized as the effort which manager Pochettio had put in place since arriving the club in 2014 is yet to produce a silverware, even though Spurs have held on to the top four position since the 2015/2016 season.

In 2015/2016 Spurs finished third on table, in 2016/2017 they finished second while in 2017/2018 season they also finished third. But there is drastic need for an improvement or converting the situation into a silverware.
