Rugby Returns To National Sports Festival In Edo 2020

Rugby has finally been listed as one of the Sports at the National Sports Festival for the Edo 2020 according to report.

The development was made possible by the Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission Barrister Godwin Dudu-Orumen.

Rugby returned alongside Para-Tennis, Cricket, Deaf Athletics and Golf as optional sports.

It will be recalled that the last time Rugby ever featured in the festival was 10 years ago.

Five other sports were upgraded as permanent sports and they are Karate, Squash, Kick-boxing, Kungfu and Scrabble.

According to the Head Coach of Edo State Rugby Association Mr. Williams Ntiense, he informed that more efforts will be put in place to make Rugby an upgraded sports.
