One of Nigeria’s foremost Sports and Entertainment Lawyers Beverly Agbakoba-Onyejiana has charged those in the Sports sector to begin exporting their brains in Sports.
Onyejiana stated this recently in Lagos, while delivering a master-piece lecture as a Guest Lecturer on “Intellectual Property and Sports Business in Nigeria during a public lecture and special awards.
The event which was tagged “Reach For Gold: International Property & Sports” was organized to mark the World Intellectual Property Day event which took place at the Lagos SWAN secretariat inside the National Stadium.
“It is time for us to start exporting our brains in the sports sector to the international community”, Onyejiana started.
“We are over-relying on oil exportation but the world is gradually experiencing a drop in oil exportation”.
“We are gradually getting to that level were we will be looking up to export ideas in Sports to make money”
“Ideas rule the world, and only those who come up with ideas in Sports development will have something to export and make money from them” she concluded.
The fair-complexioned eloquent Lawyer was also one of the awardees during the event, having made landmark achievement in Sports development through the legal profession.
She also co-authored an article on “Minors in Football in Nigeria: Safeguarding Their Rights And Securing Their interests”. Which remains one of the most highly ranked article against Sports slavery in Nigeria.
