With just four days to the second edition of the WTA U-15 Taekwondo Championship holding in Lagos, plans have been concluded to make the event a success.
Anita Aluya Executive Director of White Bird Taekwondo Academy confirmed this to www.simag.com.ng. She is also optimistic that there will be an improvement in the second edition.
“Although I will be very busy on that day seeing to the success of the event, but we have put a structure in place to ensure the event goes on as well planned” Anita started.
“The participating kids will be well received. Arrangements have also been made for the officials, media and medical team. And we can assure all that we will have a better event on that day” she added.
Anita has also charged participating students to give their best during the event, and make the best out of the championship.
The one-day event kicks-off by 7 am on Saturday June 29th at the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation Hall inside the national stadium in Surulere, Lagos.
Over 200 students within and outside the Lagos environs will compete in the championship. With the hope of becoming future stars who will fly Nigeria’s flag someday at the Olympics.
