Africa is at the verge of dominating the quarter-final stage of the FIFA U-17 World Cup tagged Brasil 2019. This will be the situation if all the remaining African teams scale through in the round of 16.

Nigeria, Senegal and Angola will face Netherlands (Europe), Spain (Europe) and Korea Republic (Asia) respectively.

If the three African teams qualify, it means Africa will have 3 teams out of the 8 expected while 2 Europeans and 1 Asia are automatically eliminated.

Europe will be left with France and Italy only should both teams triumph over Australia (Oceania) and Ecuador (South America).

Interestingly, the fixture gives South Americans two automatic slots to the quarterfinal stage. Host Brazil will face Chile, while Paraguay slugs it out with Argentina to determine who progresses.

Should Ecuador edge Italy, what it means is that 3 South Americans will make it through to the quarter-final stage.

Asia may have 2 teams at most, should Japan beat Mexico and if Korea Republic eventually edge Angola.

Four African teams qualified for the tournament, and three made it through to the knockout stage. Two teams (Nigeria and Senegal) finished top of their groups, Angola finished second while Cameroon was eliminated at group stage.
